Bangor, ME -   We are excited to announce Washington County Community College's (WCCC)10th Annual Polar Bear Dip was a huge success on Friday, March 5, 2010! The Polar Bear Dip is one of the biggest events Washington County Community College Student Senate Sponsors as a fundraiser for the Bangor Ronald McDonald House. This year's dip was also held in memory of Wayne and Lorraine Rice, previous guests at the House who supported the dip and the House for many years. The many brave participants raised funds and then jumped in the Atlantic Ocean! On April 15th Executive Director Patricia Beckwith accepted a check for over $12,000.
